EISA Information for Learners

The External Integrated Summative Assessment, or EISA, is the final assessment required for an occupational qualification. It is used to determine whether a learner has achieved the required knowledge, practical skills and workplace experience for certification.

Learners can complete their EISA at Phosaane Training Institute’s accredited assessment centre in Ruimsig, Johannesburg.

You may be ready for your EISA if you have completed all required knowledge, practical and workplace components of your programme and have been declared competent by your Skills Development Provider.

If you are unsure about your readiness, you should first confirm this with your training provider before applying.

Ensure that you have a certified copy of your ID. The certification stamp and date must not be older than six months.

You will need a Statement of Results showing competence in the Knowledge, Practical and Workplace components. If you have not yet received your Statement of Results from your Skills Development Provider, request a copy before registering.

Certain Assessment Quality Partners, or SETAs, may require learners to complete an EISA registration form as part of the registration process.

If you have any special needs or assessment accommodation requirements, you must provide a medical certificate or letter from a qualified and registered medical practitioner.
